Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)

Kentucky Fried Chicken is a fast-food restaurant chain, which was initiated by Colonel Harland Sanders in the 1930s. KFC started with many hardships. Harland learned cooking at the age of 6, his mother had taught him to make pan-fried chicken, country ham, fresh vegetables, and homemade biscuits. After 1930 his recipe started to be known throughout the world began to develop. First, Harland was called honored as Kentucky Colonel by the state governor. Secondly, he was known for a unique, quick method of spicing and pressure-frying chicken. Then after popularity in his region, Harland Sanders Court and Cafe received their first endorsement by “Duncan Hines's Adventures” in Good Eating in 1939.

The first franchise of KFC was signed by Colonel in 1952, with Pete Harman, who owned a hamburger restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout the next four years, he convinced several other restaurant owners to add his Kentucky Fried Chicken to their menus. And like this over time the franchise increased and the demand for KFC also increased. Nowadays there are at least 25,000 KFC franchises in 147 countries and territories in the world, of which there are 3943 franchises in the United States, 7166 franchises in China, 1140 are in japan, 979 are in Russia,955 in South Africa, 928 in the United Kingdom and rest of the franchises are across the rest of the world. 11% of franchises are company-owned, and the rest of the franchises are operated by franchise holders. Pakistan, KFC entered in 1997, and their successful journey started in Pakistan now there are around about 110 restaurants of KFC in 32 plus cities.

Its business started internationally in 1952, and now in 2022, it is one of the most demanded restaurants and has acquired great capital in the market by its unique and fast food delivery. The average revenue of KFC has been increasing every year since being international. In 2019 the revenue was $5.6 Billion, in 2020 was $5.7 Billion and in 2021 its revenue was $6.6 Billion. The average income of KFC per day all around the world is $4.4 Million. The average income of a franchise of KFC per year in many countries is $70,000 to $90,000. In Pakistan, the average profit of a KFC franchise is Pakistan is between 8%-15% of sales. The profit varies from area to area. Where the population will be more so the profit than exceeds from 15% of sales.
