Al Quran is the final Holy Book revealed upon the Last of Prophets Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). The Quran & Sunnah is the only source of holy guidance as it entails detailed instructions for each and every walk of human life. Here an English Translation for the motivation and guidance for the Human Beings ( " فِقْهُ الـمُؤْمِـنِ عِنْدَ نُـزُولِ الغَيْثِ : The jurisprudence of the believer when rain descends ") is discussed wrt the holy guidance from Quran and Hadith of Prophet ﷺ. This is an approved Jumma Khutba in the Sultanate of Oman.
The jurisprudence of the believer when rain descends۔

Surah Adh Dhairiat – 20-22
Surah Taha – 25-28
Praise be to God, the Most Gracious, the Giver. He caused the clouds to disperse, sent down the rain, and revived the wasteland. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone no partner for him, Allah is He who raised the heavens without pillars which you see, then established himself on the Throne and set the sun and the moon to work, each moving at its appointed time, He directs each task by revealing the signs. tells so that you may be sure of meeting your Lord-And I bear witness that Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, is the servant of Allah and His Messenger, the best worshiper and the best thinker. Peace and blessings be upon you, upon your family, companions, followers and true believers - translation of the recited verse.
See you not that Allâh drives the clouds gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap of layers, and you see the rain comes forth from between them. And He sends down from the sky hail (like) mountains, (or there are in the heaven mountains of hail from where He sends down hail), and strike therewith whom He wills, and averts it from whom He wills. The vivid flash of its (clouds) lightning nearly blinds the sight. [Tafsir At-Tabarî]. (43) Allâh causes the night and the day to succeed each other (i.e. if the day is gone, the night comes, and if the night is gone, the day comes, and so on). Truly, in these things is indeed a lesson for those who have insight. (44) Allâh has created every moving (living) creature from water. Of them there are some that creep on their bellies, some that walk on two legs, and some that walk on four. Allâh creates what He wills. Verily! Allâh is Able to do all things. (45)
Surah Al Noor – 43-45
And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain), and We send down pure water from the sky. (48) That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give to drink thereof many of the cattle and men that We had created. (49) And indeed We have distributed it (rain or water) amongst them in order that they may remember (the Grace of Allâh), but most men (refuse to accept the Truth or Faith and) accept nothing but disbelief or ingratitude. (50)
Surah Al Furqan – 48-50
See you not, that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and causes it to penetrate the earth, (and then makes it to spring up) as water-springs and afterward thereby produces crops of different colours, and afterward they wither and you see them turn yellow, then He makes them dry and broken pieces. Verily, in this, is a Reminder for men of understanding. (21)
Surah Az Zumar – 21
And He it is Who sends down the rain after they have despaired, and spreads His Mercy. And He is the Walî (Helper, Supporter, Protector, Lord), Worthy of all Praise. (28)
Surah Ash Shura – 28
Verily, in the heavens and the earth are signs for the believers. (3) And in your creation, and what He scattered (through the earth) of moving (living) creatures are signs for people who have Faith with certainty. (4) And in the alternation of night and day, and the provision (rain) that Allâh sends down from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the turning about of the winds (i.e. sometimes towards the east or north, and sometimes towards the south or west, sometimes bringing glad tidings of rain, etc. and sometimes bringing the torment), are signs for a people who understand. (5)
Surah Al Jathiya – 3-5
And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, (20) And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? (21) And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. (22)
Surah Adh Dhairiat – 20-22
O people of Allah, fear Allah - have piety and obey Allah, Who unites the good of this world and the Hereafter.
They say: "That which is good." For those who do good in this world, there is good, and the home of the Hereafter will be better. And excellent indeed will be the home (i.e. Paradise) of the Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2). (30) 'Adn (Eden) Paradise (Gardens of Eternity) which they will enter, under which rivers flow, they will have therein all that they wish. Thus Allâh rewards the Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2). (31)
Surah An Nahl – 30-Part-31
O believers, you are living in these auspicious days and you are seeing the effects of God's mercy and blessings in the rain, there is no doubt that the believer is happy with God's generosity. Our Lord is holy
A
nd it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain). Till when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, We drive it to a land that is dead, then We cause water (rain) to descend thereon. Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall raise up the dead, so that you may remember or take heed. (57)
Surah Al Araf – 57
So, O servants of Allah, be among those who give thanks to your Lord and among those who remember, be thankful for His blessings, for He has bestowed upon you His blessings according to what He has taught you. are, and that water is the means of continuance. Water is the source of life and its continuation is the decree of the Lord
And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? (30)
Surah Al Anbiya – 30
Servants of Allah - Far be it from you that you be among those who denied the blessing of God or denied His bounty while He reminded you of His grace and mercy.
S
ay (O Muhammad SAW): "Tell me! If (all) your water were to sink away, who then can supply you with flowing (spring) water?" (30)
Surah Al Mulk – 30
O you who believe, among the favors of Allah upon His servants is that He honors them with rain, glad tidings, and mercy after their hope is lost.
Allâ
h is He Who sends the winds, so they raise clouds, and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments, until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! Then when He has made them fall on whom of His slaves as He wills, lo! they rejoice! (48) And verily before that (rain),— just before it was sent down upon them, — they were in despair! (49) Look then at the effects (results) of Allâh's Mercy, how He revives the earth after its death. Verily, that (Allâh) (Who revived the earth after its death) shall indeed raise the dead (on the Day of Resurrection), and He is Able to do all things. (50)
Sur
ah Al Room – 48-50
But you realize, you who know your prophet, that he lived as a teacher to his fellows. In those moments when the sky is covered with clouds and the winds are blowing between fear and hope, a fear that leads him and his followers to a constant recognition of the poverty and necessity of submission to God, and the gratitude of hope. I am wrapped. May Allah Almighty hope for his mercy and continued goodness.
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that when there were clouds, storms, etc., the effect of this on the face of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be seen and the color of his face would become pale, and he would sometimes go inside and sometimes outside due to fear. They used to bring and keep reciting this prayer.
O Allah, I seek the good of this wind and whatever is in that wind, the rain etc. I am and seek refuge from the evil for which it has been sent.
And when it started raining, the face would start to swell. I said, O Messenger of Allah, when everyone sees clouds, they are happy that the signs of rain have appeared, but you feel a downfall. The Holy Prophet said. Aisha! I am satisfied that there is no punishment in it. The people of Aad were punished with the wind and they were happy to see Abar that water would be poured out for us in it, although there was punishment in it - indeed I was afraid that some punishment would be imposed on my Ummah. When he sees the rain, he says: Mercy.
O servants of Allah
V
erily, the likeness of (this) worldly life is as the water (rain) which We send down from the sky, so by it arises the intermingled produce of the earth of which men and cattle eat. (24)
Surah Yunus – 24-Part
O people of understanding, it is not a secret to you that God has ordained the water that descends on the earth to refresh its barrenness and change its dryness, so that the earth shakes with it and then becomes dusty. It goes and is full of freshness and blessings. His Lord, then it turns to decay and dust after its freshness and its greenness fades away with the winds. Our Lord Almighty says
A
nd put forward to them the example of the life of this world, it is like the water (rain) which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green. But (later) it becomes dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And Allâh is Able to do everything. (45)
Surah Al Kahaf – 45
And such is the world. Its conditions become clear to the servants and they prosper but it is a place of trial and testing and our Lord Almighty has allowed His servants to be tested in it where their faith is true. The essence of their character comes out, our Lord says
Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested (2) And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allâh will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allâh knows all that before putting them to test). (3)
Surah Al Ankaboot – 2-3
And it is not so - God's people - after the rain in the valleys and its effects, the responsibility to protect life and property without exception requires proper planning, effective community participation, good management, avoidance of hazards, and loss of life. And security of property is taken into consideration. However, what one warns against may happen, and some money, life, or any blessing bestowed upon them may be lost, but he should know that for a true believer to do such a thing. It is not proper, except to be patient, to ask for a reward, and Allah has promised goodness to those who are patient, and He said:
A
nd certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sâbirun (the patient) (155) Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "Truly! To Allâh we belong and truly, to Him we shall return." (156) They are those on whom are the Salawât (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones. (157)
Surah Al Baqara – 155-157
So fear God, servants of God - and train yourselves to be patient and you will succeed.
O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allâh, so that you may be successful. (200)
Surah Aal E Imran – 200

All praise is due to Allah and peace be upon His chosen servants and I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, He alone, He has no partner, I bear witness that Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger. . Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions and I have been blessed with good deeds and prohibitions.
Fear Allah's servants - know that God may grant you success in obeying Him, that it is lawful for a Muslim to utter with his tongue when it rains what was narrated from the Messenger of Allah, may God's prayers and peace be upon him.
O Allah, grant us beneficial rain - when Hazrat Aisha (RA) reported to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). Whenever they see rain, they say: Allah, give us good rain, O Allah, grant us beneficial rain. avert the danger of, by following his example—says when the rain is heavy
O Allah protect us. O God or against us O God, around us, and not against us, O God, the mountains and the forests and the trees and the valleys and the tops of the trees.
A wise man, having faith in God and recognizing his bounty, does not fail to thank the generous donor. Then he says as his chosen prophet said. It has rained on us with the grace and grace of Allah.
And the pleasures of life do not distract him from learning when the wind is strong and the clouds are forming. You say: I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) laughing together.
They used to bring it and kept reciting this dua
O Allah, I seek the good of this wind and whatever is in that wind, the rain etc. I am and seek refuge from the evil for which it has been sent.

The Holy Prophet said. Aisha! I am satisfied that there is no punishment in it. The people of Aad were punished with the wind and they were happy to see the cloud that it would rain water for us, although there was punishment in it. Allah Almighty says.
Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud coming towards their valleys, they said: "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Nay, but it is that (torment) which you were asking to be hastened — a wind wherein is a painful torment! (24) Destroying everything by the Command of its Lord! So they became such that nothing could be seen except their dwellings! Thus do We recompense the people who are Mujrimûn (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners)! (25)
Surah Al Ahqaf – 24-25
So, servants of God, fear God and remember God and give thanks to Him.
And be not like those who forgot Allâh (i.e. became disobedient to Allâh) and He caused them to forget their ownselves, (let them to forget to do righteous deeds). Those are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh). (19)
Surah Al Hashr – 19
One of the favorite things narrated from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, mentioned several supplications.
O God, give us rain that is comforting, refreshing, beneficial and not harmful. O God, give us rain that is comforting, refreshing, refreshing, beneficial and harmless. O God, you are God, there is no god but You, the Rich, and we are the poor. Send down upon us rain, and make what you have sent down for us strength and conveyance for a while. O God, I ask you for its goodness and the goodness of what is in it. And the best of what you were sent with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what you were sent with. Oh God, do not kill us with your anger, and do not destroy us with your torment, and heal us before that. Glory be to Him who praises thunder and whose fear the angels glorify.
Surah Al Ahzaab – 56
