Has USA Lost Prestige?

When a major power loses a war, it faces severe immediate and long-term consequences that frequently result in territorial concessions, regime collapse, crushing financial debt, and the total erosion of its global influence. Historically, this decline forces a redrawing of global alliances and fundamentally resets the international balance of power.

USA invaded Iran without a reason for any sane mind; it was a war similar to Mongol's primary objective to arrest the failing lone super power status, and subjugate the known world under her banner, driven by the desire to secure global trade routes and build an administrative control against its rival. However, Iran proved too smart for combined USA and Israel and challenged them with a lot of sacrifices, but keeping the pride intact.

However, ongoing tensions and high-level security meetings in Washington and Jerusalem have kept the region on edge as U.S. and Israeli officials weigh further actions against Iranian energy and military infrastructure. The freedom fighters inside of Iran must step up to settle the internal situation themselves. That has become painfully obvious and more clear by the day.

Whatever, however, and whomever influenced the decision to go back into Iran after the summer of 2025 “decimation” of Iran’s nuclear program during the “12 day war” is water under the bridge.

It is now high time for America to extract ourselves from this very messy situation.

Below are three ideas and I’m certain all are being considered (but just in case). My objective for laying these out is because of my concern that U.S. prestige globally may further diminish and U.S. economic strength will eventually end up at a breaking point. Prestige and economic health are two conditions that all great empires found at risk toward the end.

For those not following me previously, I’ve addressed the rise and fall of empires and in the waning stages, there are certain indicators and warnings that, when unheeded, move nation states past that moment of return. It is tough to put one’s finger on it, but for those observers of history, they do exist and must be considered.

1. Declare victory based on achieved military objectives and transition to a formal, monitored, and regionally supported ceasefire with some type of phased sanctions relief based on conditions the Iranian regime meets.

2. Leverage multilateral diplomacy and regional alliances for a broader security framework, offloading the direct burden the U.S. is currently maintaining. May or may not fit, but serious consideration must be given to determining if the Abraham Accords can be applied as a foundational component of this framework.

3. Unilaterally de-escalate with clearly defined, observable, and credible red lines, matched by a sustained deterrence posture but stay just short of active combat. This is easier said than done.

Fact is, none of these are easy, all come with complications but the American people’s sentiment is turning and as the summer approaches, sustaining the current posture will only work against the administration’s desire to follow through on many of the things that matter to every day Americans (ie., the cost of everything).

I’ll develop my thinking further but for now, as we enter this important week of Memorial Day observances, I am compelled to remind myself of the difficulties and the consequences that WAR has on our nation.

All said, a full extraction is complicated by Iran’s proxy networks, the ambiguous nature of their nuclear desires and their own uncertain internal political situation.

Any deal requires observable and verifiable compliance to avoid charges of appeasement by the NEOCONs.

Prestige loss is minimized by speed, clear communication of what success looks like, and avoiding open-ended commitments.

Economic self-interest (oil prices, global ripple effects, cost of everything) along with ally pressure favor swift resolution over any form of attrition warfare.

The current but very fragile ceasefire provides an opportunity window but any delays risk further escalation along with higher costs.

Now is that moment to accept reality and find an exit. As I’ve said many times, you may not want war but war wants you and this current situation is precisely what I mean. Once you get sucked into the war vortex and those around you are saying we can win with just one more of this or a little more of that, are not facing the reality of the consequences of more war nor the sentiment of the American people. Neither of these are positive.

The U.S. has faced this dilemma, since the fall of Berlin wall. USA assumed a status of Vampire and steam rolled into various region as a lone super power. USA since 9/11 ventured into Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and various others on different pretext which was definitely "imperial overstretch".

The US failed to identify the greatest threat to its sovereignty and survival; i.e. the Zionist Jews, controlling the whole government structure of USA through AIPAC. The big skeleton in the cupboard cannot be hidden any more, as the Zionist Jews are preparing for Pax Judaica after Pax Americana.

Israel as a client state and watch dog forward post in the heart of Muslim World has outlived its utility for looking after US's interest in the region. The policy of appeasing few sheiks may not continue for ever, because, the Muslims make up 25% of world population and many bright minds have populated western hemisphere during last three decades and are exposing Zionist agenda. Its better to formulate policies on love, harmony and affection. If we haven't learnt is previously, its right time now.

USA became a land of opportunity and offered American dreams with freedom, liberty and democracy. The US's mindless military operations resulted in serious damage to US "American Dream" image, rolled since WW-I as a beacon of democracy, liberty and freedom. The bright minds of the world migrated to USA and contributed immensely for the love of freedom and personal independence provided at USA. However the democracy minded people of the world still look towards USA as source of strength for freedom and liberty. American Dream are still a valuable asset for free souls of the world. It's only American who are hindering their own progress and damaging their prestige.

USA is a great power and a wonderful country. It helped the world by providing right atmosphere and climate for scientific exploration with significant funding, top research institutions, and a strong innovation ecosystem. The United States has contributed to global progress and development through economic assistance, humanitarian aid, medical advancements, and by playing a major role in the creation of international institutions.

USA can still be a great country all along next century; as she has all the attributes and positive indicators to continue to be a powerful friendly force in science and technology; research and development, literature and arts; commerce and trade and land of Peace with Freedom, Liberty and Democracy. The future of our world in peace will only be possible with strong democratic credentials and USA is no doubt a true leader in this range. The US will retain her prestige as a beacon for democracy, freedom and liberty, thus advocating well being and advancement in living standards.

Let's have the 21st century as the century of "Mutually Assured Peace" (MAP). Let's think, design and act upon a "Mutually Assured Peace" (MAP) process o achieve real peace in the world, so as to facilitate real progress and prosperity for all the humans, living in any part of the world during next century. The progress (development and growth) and prosperity will accrue with sincere and heartful well though out policies for co-operation on regional and geo strategic basis. The massive sea power shall be put in use for helping in sustainable, safe secure and profitable peace dividends for all the nations and countries of the world.
