Abrahamic Religions; Islamic Faith; Central Fundamental Elements
Today, in these so called modern times, religion and life are propagated to be two different themes۔ World today is embattled with Abrahamic Religions; referring to Hazrat Abraham (AS), who is the patriarch of three of the world's major religions, namely, Judaism, Christianity & Islam. It is therefore very important to know the central theme, fundamental elements of the Abrahamic Religions and the problems being faced.

Abrahamic Religions; Islamic Faith; Central Fundamental ElementsToday, in these so called modern times, religion and life are propagated to be two different themes and mostly, it is debated in terms of science and religion, modernity and conservatism. However, it can be argued and said with a lot of authority that the world today is engrossed and embattled with Abrahamic Religions; referring to Hazrat Abraham (AS), who is the patriarch of three of the world's major religions It is therefore very important to know the central theme, fundamental elements of the Abrahamic Religions.
The most central theme of Abrahamic Religion is the oneness of God i.e. monotheism. The Ultimate High, the Absolute Authority, The most Power Being is ALLAH, who has created all & everything and He has designed all & everything in the universe as per His Plans. In fact, He is the only one who claims and enforces time and again his authority. He revealed his books through his prophets. Hazrat Abraham (AS) was his one of the most revered prophet who declared his prophet hood some 4000 years ago. He had two sons, ( Hazrat Ismail & Hazrat Jacob) and both of them produced a progeny, that is now the central to the conflicts that is seen in the world with different themes.
The holy books declare Abraham followed Deen e Hanif (Islam as described in Quran). Here some references from Quran is being made:-
وَقَالُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَـٰرَىٰ تَهْتَدُوا۟ ۗ قُلْ بَلْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ حَنِيفًۭا ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ١٣٥The Jews and Christians each say, “Follow our faith to be ˹rightly˺ guided.” Say, ˹O Prophet, “No! We follow the faith of Abraham, the upright—who was not a polytheist.” (Al Baqrah)
يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَتِ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ وَٱلْإِنجِيلُ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ٦٥
م
َا كَانَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ يَهُودِيًّۭا وَلَا نَصْرَانِيًّۭا وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ حَنِيفًۭا مُّسْلِمًۭا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ٦٧
O People of the Book! Why do you argue about Abraham, while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until long after him? Do you not understand?Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian; he submitted in all uprightness and was not a polytheist. (Al e Imran)
قُلْ إِنَّنِى هَدَىٰنِى رَبِّىٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ دِينًۭا قِيَمًۭا مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًۭا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ١٦١قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحْيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ١٦٢لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُۥ ۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ ١٦٣
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Surely my Lord has guided me to the Straight
Path, a perfect way, the faith of Abraham, the upright, who was not one of the polytheists.”
Say, “Surely my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are all for Allah—Lord of all worlds.
He has no partner. So I am commanded, and so I am the first to submit.” (Al An’ aam)ۚ
ٱلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمَ دِينًۭا ۚ٣
Today I have perfected your faith for you, completed My favour upon you, and chosen Islam as your way۔ (Al Ma’ idah) Part of Ayat 3.
The ALLAH is the creator of all & everything and he commanded all and everyone to submit to His commands and follow in letter and spirit. Islam is the religion that God Almighty, “ALLAH” wanted everyone to follow; His guidance and instructions were simple and straight forward. The followers of religion made their own distinctions and references of their Faith and named it according to their convenience. The Islamic Faith can be described in following; which can be termed as central fundamental element of Iman (belief) which every believer shall accept whole heartedly:
آمَنْتُ بِاللّٰهِ كَمَا هُوَ بِأَسْمَائِه وَصِفَاتِه وَقَبِلْتُ جَمِيْعَ أَحْكَامِه۔
I believe in ALLAH as he exists with His names and qualities. And thus accept all of His commandments and rules and regulations.
آمَنتُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَالْقَدْرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ مِنَ اللّٰهِ تَعَالیٰ وَالْبَعْثِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ۔
I have faith in ALLAH and His Angels, His Books and His Messengers, and the Day of Judgement and that all good and evil and fate are from Almighty ALLAH and it is sure that there will be resurrection after death.
Iman e Mufassal and Iman e Mujammil as prescribed in Muslim Faith is the details of Faith are those matters related to Ar-Rububiyyah (i.e. believing that Allah is the only Creator, Cherisher, Sustainer), Al-Uluhiyyah (i.e. it is Allah Alone Who is worthy of true worship) and Al-Asmaa’ wa as-Sifaat (i.e. to correctly believe in all the Names and Attributes that Allah has described Himself with) and the evidence of each one of them and the understanding of other pillars of Iman (Angels, Books, Messengers/Prophets, Resurrection/Judgement and Decree).
The Detailed declaration of faith may be explained through a verse of the Holy Quran as well:-
“ Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but righteousness believes in ALLAH SWT, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, despite the love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask for help and for freeing slaves;(and who) establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are righteous”. (Qur’an 2:177)
The religion is not all about belief but also about practice. ALLAH SWT wants all and every one to accept His command and then act upon as well. The problem that occurs between the followers is in Action. The followers of faiths collide and battle upon wrong ideas in action. The faith was given to humans for unification and lawful citizenry. However, the difference emerges when some overzealous believers construct a more than pious version of faith and try to implement their strict version (which turns into theocracy) or when some lethargic or materialist mind followers develop their own non practicing version of faith and give those fancy names (like liberal, non-fundamentalist, enlightened moderate etc). These extremes ideas develop political philosophies and draw support from other followers.
The separation of religion into faith and politics is propagated and worldly gains and beauties are enforced into practice in real terms. The war or battle or conflicts are raised for worldly gains in the name of religion. Judaism is the 1st faith in Abrahamic religion which was prescribed with clear guidance & instructions in the shape of Torah and continuously through the presence of Prophets in line with the basic guidance provided to Hazrat Abraham (AS). The Jews in essence were following Islam and they were the 1st Islamic Faith after Hazrat Abraham (AS); however, they preferred to be called “Yehuda”.
The last of prophet to Jews was Hazrat Jesus (AS) who was born without father and Jews didn’t accept him as a prophet. However, few of his disciples propagated his teachings which were revealed book Bible; and thus came into being 2nd Abrahamic Religion called Christianity. In essence, Hazrat Jesus (AS) was also preaching all the books revealed upon prophets of Jews including Torah & Zaboor. He was also the follower of Hazrat Abraham (AS) that means Islam; however, they preferred to be called “Nasarah” (Christians).
The Christians got power when Roman Emperor converted to Christianity and unleashed prosecution of Jews as they demonized the Jesus Christ. The Jews were anticipating arrival of last prophet but they refused to accept him when ALLAH sent Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in Mecca and who established a Muslim State in Medinah. The Jews lost the last battle b/w Muslims and Jews at Khyber. The Jews after Khyber lived peacefully within Muslim Lands for 1300 years.
In 1948, on 14th May, Israel, an illegitimate state was created in the name of religion by Zionist Jews for some ulterior motives of Zionist cult leaders and powerful western nations. The state of has been created to draw a wedge in Islamic Faith. The Islam throughout the last 4000 years has desired humans to worship one ALLAH and live peacefully as per the guidance and instructions revealed through Holy Books. Those guidance and instructions were all about human values, justice, compassion and rights of all living beings. The creation of Israel and last 75 years have only proved that Israel is a dagger drawn in the heart of Islamic Faith.
Al Quran has stated a clear test of the Faith as claimed by Jews as follows:-
:قُلْ إِن كَانَتْ لَكُمُ ٱلدَّارُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَالِصَةًۭ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا۟ ٱلْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ ٩٤وَلَن يَتَمَنَّوْهُ أَبَدًۢا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ٩٥وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَوٰةٍۢ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۚ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍۢ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ ٩٦
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If the ˹eternal˺ Home of the Hereafter with Allah is exclusively for you ˹Israelites˺ out of all humanity, then wish for death if what you say is true!”But they will never wish for that because of what their hands have done. And Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of the wrongdoers.
You will surely find them clinging to life more eagerly than any other people, even more than polytheists. Each one of them wishes to live a thousand years. But even if they were to live that long, it would not save them from the punishment. And Allah is All-Seeing of what they do. (Al Baqrah).
The Israel-Palestine Conflict over last 75 years clearly tells that which group of Islamic Faith is on the right side of religion; ie the Zionist Jews of Israel or the Muslims of Palestine? Who are sacrificing the lives for their cause and who are afraid of laying the life for the cause close to their heart? The Palestinians are dying for Masjid E Aqsa and Zionist Jews are gathering forces of the west for their safety / lives. Are Zionist Jews following Torah / Old Testaments? Clearly NO!
