Australia vs Pakistan, Current Form

Australia:

Australia sit comfortably with three points from two games. Despite feeling they dropped a point against Sri Lanka, the defending champions remain favorites.

• Batting: Beth Mooney and Ashleigh Gardner have been outstanding, while Phoebe Litchfield continues to provide quick starts.
• Bowling: Kim Garth and Sophie Molineux will again be vital with the new ball, having impressed in earlier matches.

Pakistan:

Pakistan’s World Cup campaign has started poorly, with back-to-back defeats exposing both batting and bowling frailties.

• Batting: Sidra Amin remains a bright spot, scoring consistently — including a fine 81 against India.
• Bowling: Nashra Sandhu, Diana Baig, and Fatima Sana have shown promise but need stronger support to challenge top teams.

Pitch Report:

The surface in Colombo tends to favor balanced contests. Batting is easier early on, but as the ball softens, spinners come into play. Spin has been slightly more effective than pace, both in control and strike rate.
