Why MAGA: Is America Not a Great Country?

The US President Donald John Trump campaigned during Election 2024 on a slogan "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) and US electorate voted him in big numbers to become US 47th President. So, a logical query does arise to person living in a part of world which is called developing country and where all Sciences and Technology Universities are teaching US published works as "Text Books". It is taught during the course of studies that USA is a great country which is leading the world in science, technology, economy and thus has a great military to defend democracy, freedom and liberty for all humans. Therefore, the logic asks "Is USA not a great country any more and has American Dreams nullified?

The "American Dream" is a phrase referring to a purported national ethos of the United States; meaning by a set of ideals stating that in the United States, freedom includes opportunities to obtain prosperity, success, and upward social mobility through hard work no matter an individual's racial, religious, or economic background. This American dreams were sold to all educated minds in global south and third world countries and thousands of intelligent minds across the globe ventured into USA and contributed in the development and progress of the country of migration in no little terms. So what made US Republican Party and its supporters rally behind "MAGA"? The Election 2024 campaign rallies by US Republicans Donald Trump were quite enthralling and entertaining thus indicating that every thing may not be right in that country in their opinions.

Now let's read a case study here (Taken from أصل الحكاية; Face Book Page; original in Arabic) before we dwell more on this topic?

 Nashir Guadia: The genius who ended up behind bars.

And today... Caught in a high-guard American prison, sentenced to 32 years, may not leave it alive.

"Nashir Guadia" was born in 1944 in the city of Bombay, India.

From a young age, he attracted attention with his exceptional intelligence, until it was said that he received the equivalent of a doctorate at fifteen.

At 19, he moved to the United States to study aeronautical engineering, and later became an American citizen in 1969.

Just a year later, Northrop caught up with a time when the U.S. was searching for an 'unseen aircraft', following the flight losses in Vietnam.

He was commissioned with a secret project known as the Blueberry Milkshake, and spent some 20 years developing the B-2 launcher propulsion system.

Guadia did not exaggerate when he said:

"The whole engineering came from me"

It's an exhaust designer that isn't spotted by radar or infrared—a gem that made the B-2 an undetected flying legend.

But the story took a grim turn...

In 1986, he left the company after contracting a rare disease and opened a consulting office in New Mexico.

After a dispute with DARPA in 1997, his security clearance was withdrawn, he began to feel abandoned, and he once said:

“I was one of the parents of the Ghost B-2... And I forget. "

He owned a $3.5 million villa in Hawaii, and he was paying $15 thousand a month in real estate installments.

And with the need, the search for "Quick Income" begins... And the downhill begins.

In 2003, Guadia began secret cooperation with Chinese officials.

Travel to cities such as Shenchen and Chengdu, and use nicknames such as: Catch a Monkey

His goal: to transfer his expertise in designing stealth radar and thermal tunnels to Chinese Ghost Cruise missiles.

He received more than $110,000 in return.

2005 FBI agents raided his house...

50 boxes of clues: computers, messages, maps and military secrets.

And in investigation, we speak the whole truth:

> "What you did was spy and betray. China helped make a ghost cruise missile. "

His trial began in 2010, and his lawyers argued the information was not "confidential," but the judge denied the claim.

He was convicted of 14 charges, including violation of weapons export laws and military espionage, and the verdict was issued:

32 years in a tight security prison in Colorado.

But; The story ain't over yet.

In May 2025, satellites were captured of a Chinese convoy that looks stunningly similar to a B-2 missile

Wing design, exhaust and even the chassis... All of them are remembered by what Guadia designed.

Analysts believe its part of China's secret H-20 program — and that its secrets are... Patt is in the air

Ashton Guadia's son tried to appeal the verdict, saying the trial was biased and the FBI 'controlled the narrative'

But the father's testimony was crucial:

"Yes, I got betrayed"

Nasher Guadia, the genius of ghost engineering, introduced his brain juicer to the America-made B-2 missile, and shared his secrets with China, probably flown the H-20.

But the result was one:

The two rings.... And he's down.

The United States used his genius, then threw him away after his term was over.

China invested in its desperation, then flew the results of its effort.

As for him, he ended up behind bars, buried alive in a prison from which neither heaven nor freedom can be seen.

A story of genius... He betrayed his country first, his country second, and then he betrayed it himself, and everyone lost:

Honor, Dream, and Freedom.

A tough lesson for anyone who thinks that genius alone protects you, or that big countries reward loyalty without account.

In Endgame.... Everyone counts it as interests, and you alone are counted.

While keeping the above as a case study, we will follow some statements in the following to move on our topic given on top above.

While the term "caged" can refer to physical confinement or limitations, it can also metaphorically represent restrictions on scientific and technological advancement. Science and technology are inherently about exploration, discovery, and innovation, which often require freedom and open access to information and resources. Restrictions, whether physical or metaphorical, can hinder progress; but ultimately, the knowledge is spread through many ways and means.

However; science and technology cannot be literally canned like food. Canning refers to the process of preserving food by sealing it in airtight containers and heating them to destroy microorganisms and inactivate enzymes. This process allows for long-term storage and prevents spoilage. Science and technology, on the other hand, are abstract concepts and bodies of knowledge that are constantly evolving and being applied to various fields, not something that can be physically stored in a can.

Technology transfer is the process of moving technology and related knowledge from one entity to another, facilitating the transformation of inventions and scientific discoveries into practical applications and societal benefits. This process involves sharing expertise, methods, and intellectual property, often through licensing agreements, collaborative projects, or educational initiatives. Here it is profoundly stated that knowledge has been created in universities and laboratories and disseminated through seat of learnings; therefore, knowledge creation and Knowledge transfer is a lengthy process. However, the technology transfer is literally very simple; i.e. to copy a product sold in the market by reverse engineering a technological produce; even at times by semi literate minds.

The countries in the global south and third world including China travelled on the road to science and technology through the same method and ways and means. These regions sent their intelligent minds to US and European universities for seeking knowledge who on return to their own lands contributed in progress and development of their own country men. Similarly, high tech engineering products were copied by reverse engineering. Moreover; the phenomenal exploration and inventions through 19th and 20th century that made the US and Europeans super powers slowed down significantly during the last 30 years or so and the gap between the global north and global south is decreasing.

 The decreasing technological gap has resulted in continued upstream technological development and resulting economical growth of the developing countries like China, India, Brazil, Malaysia etc. The changing shape of development and progress has increased the confidence of the poor countries and their populace thus more of more of highly trained minds are now returning to their own countries or contributing in knowledge creation or resource generation while staying abroad.

The digital age has also helped in changing the equilibrium shift; where the intellect of global south is gradually taking over digital internet based institutional creations of the west; like the best of AI has surfaced in China and large numbers of Indians are the workforce of this area. Moreover, the workforce in the global south is still comparatively cheap than the west (this is because of west's own economical strangulation policies towards third world countries) and this is multiplying the work force employment in a designed fashion for a particular growth. The US will do the same job in multitude of Billions which is now achieved in millions in global souths.

The science, technology and economic superiority have been employed for coercive diplomatic achievement by US. US have used brutal military power over the years for some particular diplomatic goals and even regime change operations. Such out reach has its own draw back like downfall of empyreal ambitions (for details read "Rise and Fall of Great Powers" by Paul Kennedy). US in the end may have become sole super power but has accumulated huge debt and rising China is felt as a threat due to economical and military equivalency. The Republican therefore, knew that USA is no more the same powerful knowledge power house of the world, nor the economic or military giant of the world that it was on that fateful day called 9/11. 

 The country called USA, the great America, which offered American Dreams to the intelligent minds of the world was supposed to be a democratic country full of freedom and liberty. It offered opportunity to all hard working souls for seeking change in fortune in a life time irrespective of their racial, religious, or economic background. USA must remain so for MAGA or else it has become an Empire, falling due its own weight. The "outfall" of a falling empire may have consequences and ripple effects that may occur now if USA loses its power and influence.

These consequences can be multifaceted and include political, economic, social, and cultural shifts. The USA is rich with collective world intellect (brain gain) and fall of USA means failing of collective world conscience. The rest of the World must guard against its fallout as a leader of unipolar world without the rise of multipolar world. It’s important to work and assist the rise of Asia along with Africa due to its size and raising life standards. The emergence of multi polar world with out being involved in catastrophic violent actions between current world powers because of the presence of Weapons of Mass Destruction may ensure continuation of US as a dependent, loveable and enchanting super power as one of the poles of multiple origins.
