Tom Cruise and Red Hot Chili Peppers Ignite Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony

The Paris 2024 Olympics closed with a spectacular bang, thanks in large part to two iconic American stars: Tom Cruise, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. As stated, the closing ceremony was a beautiful artistic expression of French culture and innovation; however, it was the glamour of Hollywood that piqued the interest of the entire world.

The world rightly tagged Tom Cruise as the greatest action hero when he performed a daring sky dive at the stadium in Stade de France. Sitting next to his white female co-host and wearing an aviator hat, he effortlessly performed the landing and managed to make the audience stare at him. The stunt was a thrilling homage to his iconic "Mission: Impossible” franchise and it aptly created the right expectations for a dynamic and engrossing experience of the event!

The evening was not over yet, Cruise was asked to bring back the Olympic flag which he tearfully received from gymnast Simone Biles, then took the flag, attached it to a motorcycle and ride off. The series was brought to a climax with an extreme stunt which was a sky dive over the Hollywood Hills where the Hollywood sign was changed briefly to include the Olympic rings.

When Olympics shifted from Paris to Los Angeles the ground was laid for a what can be considered purely Californian celebration. The boys from Red Hot Chili Peppers entertained their fans with hits from their chart-topping albums, as the splendid Orange County surfer background added to the lively flavor of the music. Their performance was a joyful show to honor the loose, carefree nonchalant summer and a great warm-up before the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
