India and Pakistan came into being in 1947 after partition of British India and both the countries have been in conflict continuously since then. The two countries again again tested military muscles after Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April 2025. India's Operation Sindoor of 7 May 2025 and Pakistan's Operation Bunyanun Mursoos of 10 May 2025; will be talked about for some time. This write up is an opinion about the same conflict.

The War should Not have Happened; But Why?
The seven heavens revolve day and night
Something will happen, so why should we be afraid?
The above verse from famous Poet of ghazal Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib is about the universe in which we live; where, every astronomical body, including our earth, is in rotation and all are in motion; and in this maze, the journey of morning and evening continues; and something common or strange keeps happening in this turn of days; so why should a person bother about the changing situation every moment? But Man himself is also involved in some or the other cycle of fate and the cycle of his own tricks. In such a dense cycle of fate and tricks, there is also a race to gain benefit for himself. The story of oppression and tyranny is formed when the struggle for personal or national gains results into war. However; all war comes to an end and when war reaches a finality; and when people later explore it, they get surprised to know that there was nothing but “Falsehood” and “ego and self centric approach" was the cause of war. The main characters of all such war stories were people imprisoned in their shells who should have been in a madhouse, but they were in the position of a power; so the nation suffered for centuries. Do not go too far; it is only a matter of yesterday that this earth has suffered from the First and Second World Wars.
The Al-Mighty Creator had sent Hazrat Adam (AS) and his descendants to this earth for some other purpose, but they fell into “debauchery” and “falsehood". Although serene beauty is there in the world that can be seen with plain sight. The mountain peaks on this earth of ours are covered in sparkling snow in one season; then in another season this snow melts; it flows down as springs; the streams flow through the channels and become rivers and rush towards the sea. With the melting of the snow, not only the peak but the entire mountain comes to the fore, the forests are visible and the winds blow; and storms are born. The springs descend into the valley singing songs, and the drops of water jumping on their surface dazzle the eyes like pearls. The land of such sights is the Himalayan mountain range; Karakoram and Hindu Kush and paradise-like Kashmir; but short-sighted humans have sacrificed the splendor of this land and the creatures living in it; which includes Kashmiris.
A terror incident took place in the recreational place of Pahalgam in occupied Kashmir on the evening of Tuesday, April 22, 2025. It was a tragedy; which was the invention of an inhuman mind and it was necessary that the people who motivated it were traced. The death of 27 people in this terrorist incident was strongly condemnable and was a must for every sensible person. But for Narendra Modi, the product of the RSS, which dominates the Indian government, and other Sewam Sevak Sanghs, it was a rare opportunity for hostility towards Muslims and Pakistan; so they did what was expected of them; war with Pakistan. The Pahalgam incident was a tragedy; and then the fuel of fire was added on it; oil sprinkled on the burning fire of hatred. It seemed that the tragedy had happened for the first time in India; Have not the Indian organization "RAW" and RSS themselves been involved in such incidents in the past? But the entire conspiracy of the Pahalgam incident was directed towards Pakistan and the whole world was swept away in it as if everyone's intellect was killed. The fire of hatred and animosity consumes the intellect of humans; it has been proven true.
On the night of May 6/7, India attacked the terrorist hideouts inside Pakistan towards itself. Now the world's defense experts are knowing the truth of that night. That night, the clash between the Pakistan Air Force and the Indian Air Force is being considered the world's biggest dogfight. That night, the Indian Air Force unleashed a doomsday on innocent Pakistani civilians in six cities; but in just two minutes, the Pakistan Air Force planes had come into action and a terrible dogfight had begun in the air. It was a nerve-wracking 59-minute battle in which the Pakistan Air Force shot down five aircrafts.
No Within Visual Range combat occurred. Not a single dogfight. The entire battle unfolded in the ether, avionics versus avionics, situational awareness versus saturation, doctrine versus delusion. The IAF’s pilots flew bravely, performed their roles with discipline, and tried everything they’d trained for: hugging terrain, using ground clutter, executing aggressive evasive maneuvers. But none of that matters when your radar sees ghosts and your missiles go blind. Their tactics were built for the Meteor, the MICA, the R-77, not the PL-15E, with its AESA seeker, dual-pulse motor, and LPI profile that never triggers your RWR. They were not defeated in the cockpit. They were defeated in the architecture.
Indian commentators blamed pilot error. A Chinese after-action paper was clearer: the DA-20 was the unsung hero of the electromagnetic battlefield. It alone could have blanked VHF Guard and VOR/DME simultaneously while spoofing GAGAN augmentation signals to nudge BrahMos missiles off-course and nullify S-400 intercepts. The jamming geometry pointed to a single airborne node. No one saw it. Everyone felt it.
What the May 7th battle revealed, brutally, is that air power is no longer about platform supremacy. The PAF fielded fewer aircraft. But it fielded doctrine. AEW+CEC+VLRAAM+EW is no longer theory. It is execution. And Yang Xianzhi’s thesis now stands confirmed: avionics supremacy renders dogfighting obsolete. Speed, range, stealth, none of it matters if you can’t see, can’t coordinate, and can’t escape.
The war was over before a missile crossed the LoC. India’s economy is four times Pakistan’s. Its fleet is numerically superior. It flies Rafales. It lost. Because it didn’t own the spectrum. Because it brought steel to an electronic battlefield. Because sovereignty isn’t about GDP. It’s about signal dominance.
Pakistan’s doctrine writers will cite this battle as proof that sovereignty is secured in kilohertz. That silence can be weaponized. That denial, not detonation, is the true signature of mastery. No. 24 Squadron landed last that morning, their engines spinning down beside hangars still bearing 1960s Canberra nose art.
They were jamming when India flew MiG-21s. They’ll still be jamming when Rafale upgrades roll off the Dassault line.
Reading the above opinion from Thomas Keith, one feels that the Indian Air Force should not have started this war; but perhaps they were, like the Hindutva Sangh, believers in the stories of Ram’s Rath Yatra and thought that the skies belonged to them and the Pakistan Air Force was the falcon of some other country. Are the Pakistani Armed Forces weak and unable to chew the enemy’s throats? After the Pulwama incident in 2019, the lesson was not learned from the crash of Wing Commander Abhinandan’s plane because, Narendra Modi awarded a medal to the poor pilot for achieving his political needs. Mixing politics in military affairs has serious consequences. They must have learned this even more now; when the Pakistan Air Force trampled the Indian borders on the morning of May 10, 2025. "What the eye sees cannot be uttered by the lips." But will the great minds of Pakistan and India; who are in power will learn any lesson?
Can't we humans admit that war is a serious problem? Can't we understand that war cannot be the solution to any problem? In today's modern era when India and Pakistan are nuclear powers; do we know that in a nuclear war, war itself is an enemy? And there can be no winner in it? But despite this, why was the war fought? Did this war help in finding a solution to the problem of terrorism? When will we finally learn? Is the journey to peace impossible?
Palestinian poet and writer Mahmoud Darwish wrote, “The war will end, the leaders will shake hands, the old woman will wait for her martyred son, the maiden will sit by the roadside for her beloved, the children will yearn to see their father, I do not know who sold my land, but I know who is paying the price for it.”
Like you my dear friend, I have red blood flowing in my vein
Like you my sister, I have a mother, a father and a brother
Like you my brother, I am a father and I am human
The only difference is that I made a promise and am standing by it
So before you judge me, please feel me
Have you ever said a goodbye knowing truly you might not return
Have you ever stayed awake so others could sleep
Have you ever wished the sun you saw rising could set before your eyes
Have you seen a man become too weak to cry
Have you ever taken a decision involving life and death
Have you held someone in one hand and death on the other
Have you seen a dying man make his last wish
Have you seen a bullet piercings a beautiful heart, squirting it blood on your face
Have you ever led men with a promise of tomorrow but no assurance of today
Have you ever been given a chance...
Dear O Dear; Residents of the Indian Subcontinent; Astrologers will know the movements of the stars; and soothsayers will be familiar with the twists and turns of fate; and on the chessboard of politics, the leaders of both countries will make their moves; but the people will have to bear the consequences of the ruling elite's recklessness. So, will we continue to fill the ballot boxes of the rulers and let such bloodthirsty, blind and hungry leaders cling to the throne of power? We will not be able to remain happy and disconnected by saying that things keep happening; so why should anyone panic? The clock is ticking towards a dangerous event right in front of us. Think about it. How long will this drama of hostility continue?
