Somerset vs Hampshire, 6th Match, T20 Blast 2026 - Match Info

Somerset vs Hampshire will face off in the 6th match of T20 Blast 2026. The match will be held at the famous The Cooper Associates County Ground in England, on Friday, May 22 at 6:30 PM (local time). Somerset is always a formidable team at home. Hard-hitting batters like Tom Banton, Will Smith, Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Lewis Gregory are capable of scoring runs very quickly. They will be aiming to score big on Taunton’s short boundaries and batting-friendly wicket.

On the other hand, Hampshire has a well-rounded and experienced team. Players like James Vince, Ben McDermott, Liam Dawson and Chris Wood can turn the tide of a match. Their bowling unit is particularly effective in T20Is.

The Taunton wicket is generally good for the batters. The ball comes to the bat well here and the outfield is fast, so there is a lot of fours and sixes. So the match is likely to be high-scoring. The team batting first will be looking to score 180+ runs. The match is expected to be a close one as both the teams are strong. However, Somerset will have a slight edge due to the home ground and explosive batting line-up.
