Cute Baby Animals
Ok, who doesn’t love cute baby animals. Of course we enjoy seeing them do silly things online but have you ever seen them do that in front of you. That is true cuteness overload.
Innocence of Children
Sitting sadly on a bench re-thinking your life, feeling overwhelmed and depressed but then a child offers you a candy. They know you are a complete stranger and they might even receive a handful of lecture when their parents find out about approaching an unknown person. But despite that they noticed you feeling down and shared their candy with you. Does that put a smile on your face?
Little Hands, Big Dreams
f you an oldest child in the family, then you definitely felt this. There are bad times in our lives and times when we feel overwhelmed with the responsibilities. You have to do your homework, project learn that big quiz, help in chores, take care of the siblings… Those little siblings who annoy you to the point you want to drop them off to the 3rd dimension, who won’t clean up after them, who will neglect your lectures and continue to do the wrong thing. Seeing them transform from annoying to endearing, responsible, and self-sufficient individuals is a bittersweet experience. Stepping up and achieving their dreams fills you with a sense of joy and happiness.
Reuniting with Old Friends
Life has its twists and turns and takes us along with it. Sometime in these turns we get separated from our half selves, our best pals, our partners in crime, our crazy group/duo/trio… Meeting after such a long time, feels like the world has stopped, your back where you were at ease and it feels like nothings changed. Remembering old memories, every joke comes rushing back. The bonds grow even stronger and feels like you picked up right where you left off.
Conversations with Elders
Wisdom is not measured in years, but experience, and elders carry the weight of both.
Elders have a deep sea of knowledge and experience within them. They may seem old, but in them lies the depth of generations. Sometime you can learn thing for them that can’t be found in books even. They enlighten us with their stories… and its just heart-warming to see them tell us about their life.
Writing Down Your Thoughts
I always thought that what is the need to write your day to day experience in a diary. That is until I started doing it and I can see why people like to journal. It helps you to remember the best moments of your day and allows you to reflect on yourself, about you behavior, experience, feelings and sometimes even unlocking deep emotions.
“Journaling is like whispering to oneself and listening at the same time.” — Mina Murray
Seeing grown-up be children again, remembering best moments, being yourself when no one is there, sitting quietly with your loved ones where silence is not awkward but assuring… the list can go on and on, there is o ending to it. I even might have missed some thing that you consider peaceful.
The idea is that to cherish each and every moment in you life; be it bad or good, happy or even painful. Know that these stops are part of your journey to succeed in life. Sure failure can be embarrassing and painful but it isn’t as painful as the regret we feel after not doing it.
Seize every moment, achieve your goal, fall, grow, learn… but never stop. — Me
