The schedule for the World Cup 2023 is disclosed by the International Cricket Council. It is going to be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup. ICC 2023 World Cup is going to be held in India so far the dates announced are from 5 October to 19 November. India is the hosting team so luckily it is directly qualified. There are 10 teams for the World Cup 2023 including the following. Pakistan India Afghanistan South Africa England New Zealand Bangladesh Australia Netherlands Sri Lanka
MATCH SCHEDULE
Almost 48 matches will be held in 10 different locations in India. This location includes Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Lucknow, Bengaluru and Dharamsala. Practice matches will be from 29 September to 3 October in Hyderabad, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram. This schedule was declared by the ICC on 27th June with respect to the locations and time.
WORLD CUP 2023 TICKETS
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday 6 September officially declared the arrival of additional tickets to address the increased demand of ICC World Cup 2023. Almost 400,000 extra tickets were made available after BCCI talked about hosting associations. From 8 September onwards the Cricket World Cup 2023 tickets for all matches are available on the official Cricket World Cup website.
QUALIFYING OF CRICKET WORLD CUP 2023
A total number of 32 countries participated in the qualifying cycle of Cricket World Cup 2023 out of which 10 teams are selected for the World Cup 2023 going to be in India. The qualifying process is based on the ODI status, ranking, and ICC membership. 13 teams are featured in the Super League from which 8 teams including the team India where the match is going to be held are selected for the World Cup 2023 on the basis of the ranking in Super League Matches. After this initial stage, the remaining 2 teams are selected directly for the World Cup 2023 by playing in the Zimbabwe World Cup Qualifying matches. Ireland, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Oman, Netherlands, West Indies, Nepal, Zimbabwe, Scotland, United States all these teams were the part of final selection stage. In the end, luckily Netherlands and Sri Lanka qualified as the last two teams, however, Sri Lanka won in the final match.

WORLD CUP 2023 RECENT UPDATES:
Due to the Navratri festival on October 15, 2023, Pakistan and India match dates are changed because security arrangements will be difficult for India. ICCI and BCCI talked with PCB about rescheduling the match dates held in Ahmedabad between the two groups. So for now it is possible that the match ICC World Cup date between India and Pakistan can be on October 14 in the Ahmedabad Championship Stadium. The opening ceremony of the ICC World Match is also in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium where England and New Zealand will play on October 5, 2023. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has declared that the final match of ICC World Cup 2023 Cricket will also held in Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19, 2023.
