In the name of ALLAH, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Together, we fulfill the mission of knowledge and build the future

Praise be to Allah, the Most Generous, who taught by the pen and taught man what he did not know. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, having no partner; He illuminated hearts with knowledge and honored its bearers with wisdom and understanding. I also bear witness that our master and prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the servant of Allah and His Messenger; He sent him as a guide and a teacher, a purifier and a reformer—may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his family, his companions, and those who follow his path until the Day of Judgment. This is the recited verse from Surah Al Baqara and its translation:

He grants Hikmah to whom He pleases, and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding.

Surah Al Baqara – 269

O servants of ALLAH: Fear ALLAH and Adopt piety and obey ALLAH, and know that Islam has elevated the status of knowledge and linked it to the fear of Allah; for He, Glory be to Him, says in Surah Fatir:

It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allâh.

Surah Fatir – 28-Part

O Muslims: A new academic year is upon us, marking a new stage in the students' educational journey as they resume their pursuit of knowledge. They carry with them great hopes and vast ambitions, looking toward a future that awaits the fruits of their diligence and hard work. It is a season that renews the discourse on the nobility of knowledge and its exalted status; for Allah has elevated those who possess it and linked knowledge with faith, as He—Glory be to Him—says in Surah Al Mujadila:

Allâh will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge.

Surah Al Mujadilah – 11-Part

The academic year is a pivotal stage in shaping minds and preparing a generation to shoulder the responsibility toward its faith and homeland.

O students, seeking knowledge is a noble act of worship. Therefore, cultivate sincerity of intention in your pursuit; let your aim be to seek the pleasure of Allah, to benefit yourselves and your community, and to serve your homeland and your nation. Realize that every step you take on the path of knowledge is a step toward Allah’s pleasure and a path leading to His Paradise; for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever follows a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise."

O seekers of knowledge: Since the pursuit of knowledge holds such an exalted status, and given that every journey requires provisions and every success relies on specific factors, one of the most essential things a student needs at the start of the academic year is guidance that fosters steadfastness and excellence. Heed this counsel, and—by ALLAH's leave—you shall reap great rewards: cherish your time above all else. It is your irreplaceable capital and the arena of your success; once lost, it cannot be regained. Indeed, it is the very thing about which ALLAH will question you— O youth—twice, as our noble Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said in the hadith: “He will be questioned about his life, how he spent it, and about his youth, how he used it.” And discipline, discipline! For it is the hallmark of seriousness and the secret to success: commitment to attendance, respect for teachers, and appreciation for school regulations. And good company, good company! Do not associate with anyone but a righteous person, for how many companions have corrupted character, ruined futures, and led their companions to destruction. And how many high-achieving students, ahead of their peers, have been led astray by their companions, causing them to be utterly lost. Suffice it for you to heed the words of your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The example of a righteous companion and a bad companion is like that of the bearer of musk and the blower of the bellows. As for the bearer of musk, he will either give you some, or you will buy from him, or you will find a pleasant scent from him; whereas the blower of the bellows will either burn your clothes or you will find a foul odor from him." Remain optimistic—ever optimistic—in facing academic challenges with a positive spirit and unwavering determination, while seeking the help of Allah the Almighty in all matters, whether easy or difficult; and take heart in the words of the Most Merciful of the merciful as He says in Surah Al Ankaboot:

As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. Allâh's religion - Islâmic Monotheism). And verily, Allâh is with the Muhsinûn (good doers)."[] (69)

Surah Al Ankaboot – 69

So fear Allah, O servants of Allah, and seek the Countenance of Allah through your learning. He says in Surah Al Muzzammil

And whatever good you send before you for yourselves, (i.e. Nawâfil non-obligatory acts of worship: prayers, charity, fasting, Hajj and 'Umrah), you will certainly find it with Allâh, better and greater in reward.

Surah Al Muzzammil– 20-Part

I say what you hear, and I ask forgiveness from ALLAH Almighty for me and for you, so ask forgiveness from Him and He will forgive you, for He is the Forgiving and Merciful, and pray to Him and He will answer you, for He is The noble righteousness.

Praise be to Allah, Who has exalted the people of knowledge by many degrees and rewarded them in Paradise with magnificent gifts. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, having no partner, and I bear witness that our master Muhammad, peace be upon him, is His servant and Messenger—may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his family, his companions, and all those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment.

A child's success in the pursuit of knowledge is not achieved by the student alone; rather, it is the fruit of a blessed partnership between the family and the school. When each party fulfills its responsibility, this upbringing yields beneficial knowledge and noble character—and in this, there is a great reward for you. As the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever guides to goodness receives a reward equal to that of the one who follows it." Thus, your role extends to instilling a love for knowledge within the hearts of your children. ...creating an environment conducive to study, monitoring and encouraging them, and fostering a sense of responsibility within them—all without resorting to intimidation or discouragement—for this falls within the scope of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) words: "Each of you is a guardian, and each of you is responsible for those under his care." While the family serves as the primary nurturing environment, the school acts as a complementary partner. The teacher comes first among those who bear this message. O noble teachers, you bear the responsibility of building minds and nurturing souls. Be mindful of the magnitude of your mission, be patient, be a good example, and be sincere in your teaching and guidance. How many a sincere word has changed the future of a student, and how many A generous act that revived hope and ambition in his heart. Always bear in mind—O teachers of generations—that parents have entrusted you with their most precious possessions: the minds and hearts of their children. So, fear ALLAH regarding what you instill within them, and be a leader in goodness, just as ALLAH —Glorified be His Majesty—commanded as He says in Surah Aal E Imran:

On the contrary (he would say): "Be you Rabbaniyyun (learned men of religion who practise what they know and also preach others), because you are teaching the Book, and you are studying it."

Surah Aal E Imran – 79-Part

For you in this—O teachers—beyond the lawful livelihood you earn, lies a great reward in the Hereafter and an esteemed reputation among people in this world; so congratulations, and congratulations again.

O servants of ALLAH, fear ALLAH and resolve from the very first day to make this year a distinguished one in diligence, achievement, and progress. For when the diligent student, the supportive parent, and the sincere teacher come together, a generation will arise that carries knowledge as a character trait, work as a mission, and faith as a way of life. And thus, it will flourish. Homelands; because a homeland that invests its sons in science is only investing in its future, and creates with their hands the reasons for its glory and leadership.
