Is easy access to mobile games more important on Android?

Daemm @Daemm 1 month ago I was chatting with a friend the other day about mobile games, and we got onto the topic of how quickly you can get into playing a new app. I personally feel like if a game isn't easy to access and jump into, I'm much more likely to delete it, especially if it's on my Android phone. I've always thought this was a general mobile thing, but my friend argued that it's an even bigger deal for Android users specifically. Is easy access to mobile games more important on Android, or is it pretty much the same across all mobile platforms?

The way people interact with their Android phones, often switching between many different kinds of apps quickly, could certainly make them more attuned to any friction. If a game feels like it's asking too much effort before it even starts, it probably gets tossed aside faster than on other platforms. It's not just about the game itself, but how smoothly it fits into the overall mobile experience for that particular operating system.
