Ireland vs New Zealand, 1st Test Match 2026

The only Test match between the Ireland cricket team and the New Zealand national cricket team will be held at the Civil Service Cricket Club ground in Belfast. This crucial match of New Zealand’s tour of Ireland 2026 will begin at 11 am local time tomorrow.

Ireland will be desperate to put up a good performance against a strong New Zealand at home. Captain Andy Balbirnie will play a key role with the bat. Harry Tector and Curtis Campher will also be big hopes for the team in the batting and all-round department. The bowling attack will be led by Mark Adair and Craig Young, who will look to put pressure on the New Zealand batters with swing and seam.

On the other hand, New Zealand, led by captain Tom Latham, will go into the match as favourites. Their batting lineup includes experienced Kane Williamson, Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra. In the bowling department, Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson can pose a big challenge for the Irish batters.

The Belfast wicket usually favours pace bowlers. The cloudy weather and swing at the start may make it difficult for the batsmen to survive. However, if they can handle the new ball, there will be opportunities to score runs later. All in all, cricket fans are looking forward to seeing a great competition in this Test match between the two teams.
