How Victoria Residents Can Get a Free Air Conditioning System

At Target Green, we help eligible Victorians access free or heavily discounted air conditioning systems, with no upfront equipment costs—you only pay a minimal installation fee.

With rising temperatures in Victoria, having an efficient air conditioning system is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. Fortunately, government air con rebates and energy-saving initiatives are making it possible for eligible households to get free or heavily discounted air conditioning units.

One such program is detailed by Target Green, a trusted provider of energy-efficient solutions. Their guide on Free Air Conditioning in Victoria explains eligibility criteria, application processes, and the benefits of upgrading to an eco-friendly cooling system.

Who Qualifies for a Free Aircon in Victoria?

According to Target Green, the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program allows homeowners and renters (with landlord approval) to access free or subsidized air conditioning installations. Key eligibility factors include:

• Living in Victoria
• Having an old, inefficient cooling system
• Meeting income requirements in some cases

The program focuses on replacing outdated heaters and coolers with energy-efficient split systems, reducing both energy bills and carbon footprints.

Why Upgrade to an Energy-Efficient Air Conditioner?

1. Lower Electricity Bills – Modern inverter systems consume far less power.
2. Environmental Benefits – Reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
3. Improved Comfort – Consistent cooling without excessive noise.
