"Beast of the Earth": Bible & Islam

In the Bible, the "beast of the earth" refers to a symbolic figure in the Book of Revelation (chapter 13) that rises from the earth, possesses lamb-like horns but speaks like a dragon, and serves the first beast from the sea. This second beast performs false signs and wonders, such as bringing fire from heaven, to deceive people and compel them to worship the first beast. It is often interpreted as the False Prophet, who leads people to accept the "mark of the beast" for economic and social participation.

Bible Revelation 13:16-17 (King James Version)

16.  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17.  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Scripture itself gives very little detail about the nature of the mark of the beast. What we can be sure of is that this mark will not be disguised. "Innocent" people will not take the mark of the beast by accident. Later verses make it clear that the act of taking the mark of the beast is intimately connected to offering worship and loyalty to the Antichrist. Verses 17 and 18 will connect this mark, somehow, to the name or "number of the name" of the beast.

What does Revelation 13:16-17 mean?

God seals all who trust in His Son as Savior by placing the Holy Spirit in them. This seal designates believers as belonging to God. Similarly, in the end times, the evil False Prophet will cause everyone, regardless of social or economic status, to choose whether to receive a mark on the right hand and on the forehead. This mark will identify the recipients as belonging to the kingdom of the beast. Revelation 14:9–11 indicates that those who accept this mark are identifying themselves with Satan, and rejecting God. Revelation 20:4 explains that true believers will refuse this mark, and many will be executed as a result.

The Greek word used for this "mark of the beast" is charagma, related to the brand seared into animals to denote their ownership. The word is also used of idols and other negative ideas. In contrast, the followers of God are "sealed," from the Greek root word sphragis, referring to a proof or inscription. The symbolism of these words is powerful: God places a symbol of value on His people—Satan brands his followers like animals.

Verses 16 and 17 have created vast speculation about the exact nature of this mark. Some suggest this to be a tattooed barcode or symbol—either easily seen or visible under ultra-violet light. Others suggest that implanted computer chips or other technology might be part of this mark. Today, company-issued ID cards can unlock doors at the workplace, and RFID chips are used to access goods and services. The connection between the mark and commerce, as shown in the following verse, is a large part of these speculations.

Explanation "Beast of the Earth".

The quote describes the "mark of the beast" in Revelation 13:16-17, a symbol of allegiance to the Antichrist which will be received by all people and is tied to the ability to buy and sell. While the passage doesn't detail the mark's exact form, modern speculation often links it to technology like barcodes or implanted chips, but these are interpretations of the text's symbolic meaning of complete control and forced worship.

Key elements of the passage:

The Bearer of the Mark: The passage refers to a powerful figure (the "beast") that will "cause all" to receive this mark.

Universal Imposition: The phrase "small and great, rich and poor, free and bond" highlights that the mark will affect every social and economic class universally.

Symbol of Ownership: The "mark" itself is a symbol of allegiance or ownership, similar to how slaves were branded by their masters in ancient times.

Location: The mark will be placed on the "right hand" (symbolizing actions and power) or on the "forehead" (symbolizing thought and will).

Economic Control: The mark is necessary to "buy or sell," meaning without it, a person would be cut off from economic and societal participation.

Interpretations and Significance "Beast of the Earth":

Symbol of Allegiance: The act of receiving the mark is an act of worshipping and demonstrating loyalty to the Antichrist.

Contrasting with God's Mark: In Revelation, believers are marked by the Lamb, a symbol of God's presence. The "mark of the beast" represents allegiance to evil and empire, in opposition to God.

Modern Speculation: While the Bible doesn't provide specific details, some interpretations suggest the mark could be a technological identifier, like an RFID chip or digital identity, that links directly to a person's ability to function in society.

Islamic View of "Beast of the Earth".

In Islamic eschatology, the Beast of the Earth (Dābbah min al-Arḍ) is a creature that will emerge before the Day of Judgment, serving as a major sign of its imminent arrival. Mentioned in Surah An-Naml of the Quran, this beast will speak to people, marking believers on their foreheads and disbelievers on their noses with its ring, distinguishing them by the brightness or darkness of their faces, respectively. It is a sign that faith will no longer be accepted, and its appearance is closely linked to the sun rising from the west.

Key Characteristics and Role

A Sign of the End Times: The appearance of the Beast of the Earth is a significant indicator that the end of the world is approaching and that Judgment Day is near.

Human-like Qualities: Though a beast, it possesses human characteristics, including the ability to speak to people and address them directly about their faith.

Marking and Distinction: The beast will brand people on their noses and foreheads, causing believers' faces to brighten and disbelievers' to darken, making them recognizable to each other.

Biblical and Islamic Context: Some interpretations suggest the beast will carry the stick of Moses and the ring of Solomon, according to Islamic teachings.

Timing: Its emergence is understood to happen after other major signs, such as the sun rising from the west, after which it will become too late to accept faith.

Interpretations and Details

The Quranic Verse: The primary reference is Surah An-Naml (27:82), which states, "And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast from the earth to speak unto them because mankind had no faith in Our revelation".

Hadith: Authentic Hadiths (sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad) describe the beast as having the ability to speak, hear, and communicate with people.

Scholarly Views: Scholars widely agree that the beast is a supernatural creature that will appear at the end of time.

Analysis and Conclusion

The Zionist Jews are the main benevolent entity from the rise of Anti Christ; because they are the only one who aim to benefit from the being. It may be because the Zionist Jews are as deceitful and false entity as the Anti Christ (Dajjal- the false messiah) would be. The Zionist controlled media is propagating the true and false narratives about the Anti Christ; and there is a sudden surge in this aspect.

A sudden surge in discussions about the "beast of the earth" stems from heightened fears and interpretations of biblical prophecy, often fueled by ongoing global crises and the rise of powerful new technologies like artificial intelligence. Many sources, including religious commentary and social media, connect recent events and technological developments to end-time scenarios described in the Bible's Book of Revelation and the Quran.

The "beast of the earth," as described in the Book of Revelation, is directly connected to the Antichrist in biblical interpretations, often identified as the "false prophet" who supports the primary "beast" or Antichrist figure. While some early interpretations connect the "beast" to figures like the Roman Emperor Nero or a future political leader, the general understanding is that the Antichrist is a central figure in the apocalyptic narrative, with the beast of the earth (the false prophet) acting in tandem with the beast from the sea (the main Antichrist) to oppose Christ and deceive people.

According to Islamic tradition, the Dajjal is described as the greatest deceiver (false messiah) and a significant test of faith for humanity before the end of the world. He will be one-eyed and will seek to lead people astray from the path of Allah. The Dajjal (the Antichrist) will remain on Earth for a duration of 40 days that will feel prolonged: the first day will be equivalent to a year, the second to a month, the third to a week, and the remaining 37 days will pass as normal. At the conclusion of this period, the Dajjal will be destroyed by Jesus (Isa).

These are difficult times and some commentators believe that these are deceitful times synonymous to Dajjal; and Zionist Jews are hoping that their Anti Christ (Dajjal) may appear pity soon. It is therefore strongly recommended that all actions related to national and international affairs (especially related to godless, secular, liberal west and fresh vigilantes of Christian right and the blind followers in East )may be contemplated in light of the same i.e. deceitfulness and false pretense; so that real truth can be revealed.

To escape Dajjal (deceitfulness and false pretense), Muslims should rely on strong faith, and flee from his presence to distant places. Reciting of the Surah Al-Kahf on each Friday provides protection, as does avoiding situations that could compromise one's faith. If confronted, one should choose the fire offered by Dajjal over water and recite the name of Allah, knowing that the fire is a deception and within it is cool water. The refuge will be possible in only two specific holy cities of Makkah and Medina.
