Australia Women vs Pakistan Women: Australia Women won by 107 runs

Australia continued their impressive form at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, registering a commanding 107-run victory over Pakistan in Colombo on Wednesday. The defending champions, playing at the R. Premadasa Stadium, made it two wins in two with an outstanding all-round performance that reaffirmed their title credentials.

After being sent in to bat, Australia overcame a shaky start to post a competitive 221 for 9 on a tricky surface. Their innings was anchored by Beth Mooney, who produced a brilliant 109 off 114 balls under pressure. Early on, Australia lost wickets in clusters after a 30-run opening partnership between Alyssa Healy (20) and Phoebe Litchfield, slipping to 115 for 8.

Mooney, however, stood firm amid the collapse. She found a reliable partner in Alana King, who played a stunning counter-attacking knock of 51 not out off 49 balls. Together, the duo added a priceless 106 runs for the last wicket, lifting Australia from a precarious position to a total that eventually proved more than enough.
