Pride in one’s homeland

Praise be to ALLAH, the Possessor of Favors and Blessings, the One Who bestows upon His creation various gifts and generosity. We bear witness that there is no god but ALLAH alone, without partner, Who instilled in souls the love of the homeland, so that comfort and tranquility were found in its lands. And we bear witness that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is His servant and Messenger. He was a sincere and devoted advocate for his homeland and his tribe in Mecca, and after that he became a guide and builder in his city. And peace be upon his family and his noble companions, who were builders of their homelands and protectors of their sanctity, so Islam was elevated by their morals and values. This is the translation of the recited verse from Surah Ibrahim:

Surah Ibrahim – 37

O servants of ALLAH: Fear ALLAH and Adopt piety and obey ALLAH. I advise you and myself, O servants of ALLAH, to fear ALLAH Almighty, for piety is the foundation of success and the key to prosperity. No progress has ever been built without piety except that it has vanished, and no structure has ever been erected without it except that it has collapsed. So fear ALLAH as He should be feared, and you will be among the successful. And thank Him for His favor and His gifts, and you will be recorded among the successful.

O believers: Know that the homeland is a great blessing from ALLAH, priceless and invaluable, not to be bought with money or lives. Rather, wealth is spent for its sake, and lives are sacrificed for its unity and defense. The homeland is a small word in its structure, but great in its meaning. It is a word that, as soon as it is mentioned, stirs the feelings and emotions; how could it not, when love of the homeland is an innate love, deeply rooted in the souls. It is inherent in creation, even the whales in the depths of its seas, the beasts in its forests, and the birds in its skies, yearn for their homelands. And for all this - O servants of ALLAH - the loss of one's homeland causes a pain in the heart that is rarely bearable. And separation from him is a wound in the soul that will not heal; therefore, ALLAH Almighty, in His Great Book, linked separation from one's homeland with the killing of oneself, and He, Glory be to Him, says in Surah An Niss:

And if We had ordered them (saying), "Kill yourselves (i.e. the innnocent ones kill the guilty ones) or leave your homes," very few of them would have done it;

Surah An Nisa – 66-Part

It is the homeland, the tranquility of the soul, the peace of mind, the gathering place of loved ones, and the starting point for building.

O believers: Indeed, among the greatest blessings of ALLAH upon us is this homeland in whose shade we find refuge, whose atmosphere we live in, and whose air we breathe. In it we find the meaning of tranquility and the reality of peace. In it, the glories of the ancestors are connected to the descendants. O believers: ALLAH Almighty has honored us with a homeland whose roots of glory are deeply embedded in the land of history, and whose seeds of tolerance and peace are lofty in the sky of glory. ALLAH has spread the mantle of security within it and strengthened the structure of its unity. He opened the doors of His provision for us, so to Him, the Most High, belongs all praise and gratitude. Indeed, O servants of ALLAH, when these blessings are gathered in a nation, it attains the foundation of prosperity and achieves the pillars of civilization. Did you not see that Abraham, the friend of ALLAH – peace be upon him – on the day he called upon his Lord to prepare in Mecca the means of happiness, he said that is in Surah Al Baqara:

My Lord, make this city (Makkah) a place of security and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in Allâh and the Last Day.

Surah Al Baqara – 126-Part

A homeland that has sustenance and livelihood, unity and oneness, security and faith, is a great blessing from ALLAH that deserves gratitude, and a favor that calls for praise.

O servants of ALLAH, this blessed homeland of ours deserves our attachment to it, our pride in belonging to it, the preservation of its foundations and achievements, and our diligent work for its elevation and glory. And know that love of country and preserving its trust are not mere slogans or empty phrases, but must penetrate the heart as faith, settle in the soul as conviction, and be translated by the limbs and energies into behavior and action. And we find – O servants of ALLAH – in the biography of the Messenger of ALLAH and his companions the highest examples of love for the homeland that is deeply rooted in the heart, and of translating it into reality through action and construction. For the Chosen One, on the day that ALLAH settled him in Medina and approved it for him as a homeland, the love of it settled in his heart. And its status became great in his eyes. Seyyedina Anas bin Malik - may ALLAH be pleased with him - narrated: When the Messenger of ALLAH came back from a journey and saw the steps of Medina, he would urge his camel on - that is, he would hasten it - and if it was an animal, he would move it - out of love for Medina. Rather, that love interacted within him, so he loved the city with all that was in it, until he said about Uhud, which is a deaf mountain: “This is a mountain that loves us and we love it.” The Prophet, peace be upon him, translated that love into a lived reality, so he established the foundation of justice in Medina and built the Islamic state therein. His noble companions, who followed him, translated their love for this homeland into striving and working, defending and preserving, and showing solidarity and harmony.

O servants of ALLAH: The first nucleus for building a nation is unity, solidarity, and harmony among the members of society and the people of the nation. This is what our noble Prophet, peace be upon him, was keen on when he laid the foundations of the Muslim state in Medina. He established brotherhood between the Emigrants and the Helpers, and drafted the Constitution of Medina, spreading the spirit of harmony and love. Indeed, there are those – O servants of ALLAH – who find pleasure only in severing the bonds of your unity. And to tear apart the bonds of your unity, they continue to spread rumors and broadcast slander, exploiting modern technologies and social media for this purpose. So beware – may ALLAH have mercy on you. And you should realize that social media is a double-edged sword, and its benefits and harms depend on its user. How many people have made good use of it in ways that elevate themselves, their society, their country, and their nation? Through his valuable contributions of videos, messages, articles, and truthful news, he was included in the Almighty's saying as mentioned in Surah Fussilat:

And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allâh (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands firm (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allâh's (Islâmic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims."

Surah Fussilat – 32

Fear ALLAH, O servants of ALLAH, and be the best builders of your homeland, and protectors of its foundations and pillars. Observe its systems and values, and fulfill all its rights.

I say what you hear, and I ask forgiveness from ALLAH Almighty for me and for you, so ask forgiveness from Him and He will forgive you, for He is the Forgiving and Merciful, and pray to Him and He will answer you, for He is The noble righteousness

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, who commanded His Prophet, peace be upon him, to use wisdom and good counsel in delivering his message, and described him as having great character in his person and his dealings. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, the Possessor of kindness and generosity. and I bear witness that our Master and our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, the servant of ALLAH and His Messenger, is the best of people to the people, and the furthest away from what is incumbent upon them beyond their capacity. May ALLAH’s prayers and peace be upon him, upon his family and good companions, and whoever follows their path until the Day of Judgment.

Now then, O believers: The people of this noble land possess deep-rooted and lofty virtues, and great and sublime morals, witnessed by those far and near, and experienced by both friend and stranger. The praise of the Messenger of ALLAH in this regard is sufficient honor for us. O people of this generous homeland – be proud of that and preserve this noble characteristic from being debased or tainted by flaws, by adhering to our ancient values and great morals. Especially in our dealings as fathers and sons, brothers and neighbors; for the correct behavior is the beautiful gentleness that is not found in anything except that it beautifies it, and is not removed from anything except that it disgraces it. And it suffices for you that your Lord directed His Prophet, peace be upon him, with what that gentleness required in carrying out His call when He says in Surah Al Nahl:

Invite (mankind, O Muhammad SAW) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islâm) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Revelation and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better.

Surah An Nahl – 125-Part

Fear ALLAH – may ALLAH have mercy on you – and preserve your morals, and hold fast to your values, and instill them in your children. Water the tree of love for the homeland in their souls by taking pride in its present achievements and its ancient glory, so that they may realize within themselves the meaning of good citizenship, for they are the hope of the homeland and the builders of tomorrow.

Surah Al Ahzaab – 56

So pray and send peace upon the leader of the messengers, Muhammad, the guide and trustworthy. Your Lord has commanded you to do so when He said: “Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, send blessings upon him and salute him with a worthy salutation.”

He says in Surah Al Ahzab: ALLAH and His kingdom send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, pray upon him and grant him peace.

Surah Al Ahzaab – 56

O ALLAH, bless and grant peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon the family of our Prophet Muhammad, as You prayed and peace upon our Prophet Abraham and upon the family of our Prophet Abraham, and bless our Prophet Muhammad and the family of our Prophet Muhammad, just as You blessed our Prophet Abraham and the family of our Prophet Abraham in the worlds. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. And be pleased, O Allah, with his Rightly-Guided Caliphs, and with his wives, the Mothers of the Believers, and with all the rest of the Companions, and with the believing men and women, and with this gathering of ours, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

Oh ALLAH, make this gathering of us a merciful gathering, and make our separation after it an infallible separation, and do not leave among us or with us any wretched or deprived.

Oh ALLAH, honor Islam, guide Muslims to the truth, unite their words in goodness, break the power of the oppressors, and grant peace and security to your servants. All of them.

O Allah, be a helper to our brothers in the blessed land of Al-Aqsa, be with them, strengthen them, strengthen their hearts, and grant them patience. Disappoint Your enemy and their enemy, and turn the tables on him, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor.

O Allah, we ask You for steadfastness in our affairs and determination to do what is right. We ask You for gratitude for Your blessings and proper worship of You. We ask You for sound hearts and truthful tongues. We ask You for the best of what You know and seek refuge in You from the worst of what You know. We seek Your forgiveness for what You know.

Oh ALLAH, O Ever-Living, O Ever-Living, O Possessor of Majesty and Honour, there is no god but You, Glory be to You, by You we seek refuge and by Your mercy we seek help, that you will not leave us to Our souls are within the blink of an eye, and nothing is closer than that. And rectify for us all our affairs, O Reconciliator, the affairs of the righteous.

Oh ALLAH, our Lord, protect our countries, honor our authority, support it with the truth, and support it with the truth, O Lord of the worlds. Oh God, bestow your blessing upon him, support it with the light of your wisdom, guide it with your blessings, and protect it with your care.

O ALLAH, send down upon us from the blessings of the sky and bring forth for us from the goodness of the earth, and bless for us our fruits and our crops and all our provisions, O Possessor of Majesty and Generosity.

Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

O ALLAH, forgive the believing men and women, the Muslim men and women, the living and the dead among them. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the Near, the Answerer of supplications.

O servants of ALLAH - Indeed, ALLAH commands justice and good deeds, and bestows favor on relatives, and forbids indecency. And the denier and the transgressor admonish you that you may remember.

Surah An Nahl-90
