Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is emerging as a growing health concern among young people in Gujarat. Recent observations from rheumatology experts indicate a sharp rise in cases, particularly among individuals aged 20–40. What was once considered a condition affecting older adults is now impacting young professionals, students, and parents. Many patients initially dismiss early symptoms such as joint stiffness, swelling, and fatigue as temporary discomfort, which often delays diagnosis and treatment.

Medical experts highlight that rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the joints, leading to inflammation and progressive damage. Early signs usually include persistent joint pain, morning stiffness lasting more than 30 minutes, fatigue, and swelling in multiple joints.
