2025 Ballon d’Or Awards: Dembele, Bonmati, Yamal, and Top Winners
The main rivalry for the men’s Ballon d’Or was between Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele, with Dembele ultimately winning the 2025 award. In women’s football, Spain’s Aitana Bonmati claimed her third consecutive Ballon d’Or.
PSG’s Luis Enrique was honored with the Johan Cruyff Trophy as Coach of the Year, while England’s Sarina Wiegman won the women’s coaching award. Manchester City’s Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma received the Yashin Trophy for best male goalkeeper, and Chelsea’s English goalkeeper Hannah Hampton won the women’s category.

Although Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal didn’t win the Ballon d’Or, he was recognized as the best footballer under 21. The women’s equivalent went to Vicky Lopez from Spain and Barcelona.
PSG was named Club of the Year for men, with Arsenal taking the honor for women. Arsenal’s Swedish striker Viktor Yorkeres won the Top Goalscorer award, while Barcelona and Poland’s Aya Pajor won the women’s equivalent.
